Designed, manufactured and installed by our own teams, it was assembled on site in two and a half days.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The requirement<\/h2>\n\n<p>At a multimodal transport hub, a local authority wanted to store bicycles on a mezzanine above the ground floor. It needed equipment able to lift the bicycles safely and to fit into an existing building: a mezzanine whose dimensions were already set, a roof structure and a beam close by, and a staircase alongside.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Atlas Lift solution<\/h2>\n\n<p>Our design office designed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlas-lift.com\/en\/services\/bespoke-goods-lift\/\">bespoke goods lift<\/a> based on our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlas-lift.com\/en\/services\/column-goods-lift-ec-series\/\">EC series<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a 2,000 \u00d7 1,700 mm platform in non-slip chequer plate, for a load of 300 kg;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>hydraulic lifting by means of a chain reeved over the head of the cylinder; the hydraulic cylinder is designed and manufactured by Atlas Lift;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>mechanical locking of the platform at the upper level, for safe loading and unloading;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>at each level, hold-to-run push-button controls with an emergency stop;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a self-supporting metal shaft, 4.66 m high, painted grey RAL 7043;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>at each level, a double-leaf swing door with electrical locking: it only opens when the platform is at that level, and the lift only moves when the doors are closed;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an access ramp on the ground floor, with a 10% gradient.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1591\" height=\"840\" src=\"https:\/\/www.atlas-lift.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/monte-charge-velos-etude-3d-atlas-lift.jpg\" alt=\"3D view of the goods lift and its shaft, produced by the Atlas Lift design office\" class=\"wp-image-12105\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.atlas-lift.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/monte-charge-velos-etude-3d-atlas-lift.jpg 1591w, https:\/\/www.atlas-lift.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/monte-charge-velos-etude-3d-atlas-lift-300x158.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.atlas-lift.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/monte-charge-velos-etude-3d-atlas-lift-1024x541.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.atlas-lift.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/monte-charge-velos-etude-3d-atlas-lift-768x405.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.atlas-lift.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/monte-charge-velos-etude-3d-atlas-lift-1536x811.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.atlas-lift.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/monte-charge-velos-etude-3d-atlas-lift-1170x618.jpg 1170w, https:\/\/www.atlas-lift.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/monte-charge-velos-etude-3d-atlas-lift-270x143.jpg 270w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1591px) 100vw, 1591px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The 3D design produced by our design office.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An installation completed in two and a half days<\/h2>\n\n<p>The client approved the drawings in early September. The lift and its shaft were then manufactured in our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlas-lift.com\/en\/manufacturing-plant\/\">workshops in Saintes<\/a>. On site, our installers fitted the complete unit from 26 to 28 October.
